I set up this site a while ago, and it’s been on hold for quite some time. I have come back to tinker a few times, but haven’t had much time now being a single mom. I’ve been tinkering more regularly the last few months, but it remained far from where I wanted to be. So imagine my surprise when I found a comment on it!

Starting New… Now

Since beginning to investigate Messianic Judaism I have found many Jewish traditions that I like. I find that there is something that works about the methodical practices of the Jews which are so full of meaning. One instance being the tradition of reading the Torah, over and over, on a schedule. Having started out with it being a 3-year undertaking, it has been observed in recent years on a 1-year schedule. About this tradition, I find structure which is lacking from many Christian churches, and purpose- a purpose better and deeper than what any ol’ Christian-sensation-book is being hyped at the moment for us to study. (Can that really be called purpose?)

Our First Seder

We had our first Seder this year, over at a friend’s house. Well, I really don’t know what to call him… I know most Messianics call their leaders “Rabbi”, and this guy is a Jew, but he very-much does not fit the mold of mainstream Messianics, even. Still, “Pastor” doesn’t feel right either. But at any rate, it was at T’s house.
